How Will it Evolve? 

There are three phases to this business venture.  The precise direction it takes and the speed at which it evolves will be determined by the participates as it evolves.  The following paragraphs provide an overview of the three phases.

 

Concept Launch Phase

We are currently building a prototype site in Makanda, Illinois to test the concept.  It will be build over the next several years with plenty of opportunities for people to come and get involved in this development.  During this first phase, we will also build the network of natural builders, interested owner-builders and other experts who are interested in contributing to this venture.

 

Development Phase

During this phase, we will begin development at other select locations.

Each individual site will follow a general development process.  The Camp Zest Team will facilitate the site development process guiding the owner-builders and bringing in other expertise as needed. See SITE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS for more details.

 

Operations Phase

This phase begins as soon as sites have completed the development phase and will continue into the future.

 

Once a site has been developed and cottages are ready for occupancy, the owner-builders will have the option to use their share of the cottage or make a portion (or all) of their time available to the public, which will be marketed and managed by Camp Zest.
